KINDERHOOK, N.Y. -- June 3, 2024 -- American Bio Medica Corporation (Nasdaq: ABMC) today announced that Dr. Gerald W. Lynch will join the ABMC board of directors effective July 1, 2002. Lynch is the president of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, a position he has held since 1976. John Jay College of Criminal Justice is the nation's only liberal arts college devoted exclusively to the study of criminal justice, law enforcement, police science, public safety and public service.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Lynch become an independent director for ABMC, because he has tremendous insights on both the present and the future of criminal justice and public safety in America and abroad. These are areas of vital interest and potential for ABMC," said ABMC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gerald Moore.

"I am excited to be a member of the board of directors of this progressive and involved company, and I look forward to sharing my opinions on ways that ABMC and its products can tangibly benefit law enforcement and public safety professionals," said Lynch.

An internationally known expert and advocate of criminal justice education, Lynch has lectured at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Police in Lyon, France; the Police Staff College in Bramshill, England; St. Petersburg University, Russia; as well as at schools and conferences in Abu Dhabi, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Brazil, Spain, Hungary, Ireland, Mexico, Israel, Italy and Germany. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from New York University, and is a vice chairman of the New York City Police Foundation, and the chairman of The New York Fire Safety Foundation.

Under Lynch's leadership, John Jay College has been recognized as the largest college for law enforcement studies in the world, attracting students from many nations. In its 2002 ratings U.S. News & World Report ranked John Jay College's Master of Public Administration Program first in the nation among programs with specializations in Criminal Justice Policy in the magazine's Graduate Rankings of Public Affairs Programs.
